I don't sew
Nov. 26th, 2004 10:35 pmTonight I threw together my first bag, using the 'jordy bag' tutorial on Craftster.
I originally wanted a slouchy, slightly larger-than-usual bag that would be easy to get in and out of while holding my wriggling 16-month-old. (I think I may make another, smaller bag next, with two shorter, centered handles...for that one I'm going to use the very sweet carved black elephant button I've been hoarding!)

Fabric is canvas from Joann Fabrics, with a layer of fusible interfacing and a turquoise 'satin' lining.
For someone who hates patterns, never pins, and can barely thread her machine, it turned out pretty well, I think...:)
