I made myself some cute winter gloves!

Haha, ignore the silly look on my face..

My puppy, Ozzy, decided the pawpads looked like tasty morsels, and then thought I was offering them to him when I posed for the picture.

The gloves I made for my mother. She asked me for plain black ones. (aww no paw pads?)

I made them out of fleece, the pads were sewn on by applique. and it was VERY simple construction using a sewing machine:
1. Trace around your hand, and cut out only TWO pieces (One for the left hand, one for the right hand. You decide if its the palms or the backs)
2. Applique your design on. (tight zigzag "satin" stitch on a sewing machine)
3. Lay your piece flat on a square of matching material right sides together. (you don't cut a seperate pattern and try to mess with matching it all up, just sew the piece you cut out flat to a square piece)
4. Stick your hand in there to check for the fit (the fingers will be "webbed" together), adjust if necessary, THEN trim your glove.
5. Fold under the wrist-edge and sew, then turn it right sides out and enjoy!

Special thanks to [livejournal.com profile] malytwotails for suggesting this method to me some time ago, and inspiring me to do my own version of some paw gloves. :3
