bracelet length

what length do you use when making your bracelets? i keep feeling like i'm making mine too long. i have a large wrist so i can't measure on myself. when searching length's online. average can be from 6.5 to 8 in so i'm kinda at a loss here. i wanted to see what length you all use. if you don't make bracelets but wear them, do you know what size you wear or prefer wearing? loose vs fitted etc.. i'm assuming my bracelets will be loose on some people. i'm just sort of concerned they will be too big and fall off! right now the bracelets i have been making are at about 7.5. my personal pref when wearing bracelets is for it to not be tight on the wrist. what about you all? i'm considering using chain on the end and making them adjustable because that seems to be the most versatile and it looks nice :)
