so here's a rainbow ceramic holder thingy I made in ceramics class during my senior year in high school ^_^
It's comprised of approximately 85 individually made letters/symbols, 7 figures (Bubbles, the top bear, the bottom bear, the mini bear, the caterpillar, the kitty head, the butterfly), and several long "strings" of clay, to connect them together.
The letters make up: the date (march 2000, I think), my website's title (Hey Ma! Lookadda'bearslookaddabearslookaddabears!, and a few other things I can't remember/am too lazy to check on. haha
It's about 7 inches tall with a 3x6 inch base. It took me... god, like, over a month to make this :faint: because, as mentioned, I made each letter individually (HOORAY FOR PSYCHO DETAIL WORK!!!11), then had to wait for them to dry, then painted them with slip to reinforce them, then had to carrrrefully connect them all together, then painted the entire thing with MORE slip, just to be safe. It really is a damn miracle this thing survived firing (both times!), AND is still completely intact. *KNOCK ON WOOD, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD PLEASE DON'T MAKE ME PSYCHE MYSELF OUT AND BREAK IT SOMEHOW NOW!!!!*
seconds later...
*piece shatters into a 34059045 pieces for no apparent reason*
me: WHYY GOD WHYYYYYYY.
...anyhoo, I forgot to mention about the paint; everything was painted with underglazes, then covered in clear. Yep.
