[identity profile] feline.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] craftgrrl
Ok.... so I've been making stuff and not posting it...

The bodies of the bookmarks are wire that's been tempered and made flat covered in beads. I then took some yarn and wrapped it. You can also add charms to the bottom of the wire if you use a twist and make a coil. The top was hooked over and a loop made. This then had ribbon attached. On the other end of the ribbon, I added a handmade roll-up bead (tutorial for the roll-up here on the DIY network).

brightness increased so you can see detail, coat is black

This coat is black fleece. The wonderful Beatrice (my dress dummy) is modeling it for us. I made it from McCall's M4674, with a few tiny touches of my own.

She's made of vellum and held together with buttons. The pattern I used to cut her out came from Lisa Vollrath's website. Her hair is yarn and sewn on. Her hat is crocheted. I finger-knit her a scarf. She's wearing a silk skirt and a black tapestry corset.

I read the tutorial in the SnB book and then made up my own pattern. I think it's kinda plain, but my hubby likes it and it's going to be a scarf for him, anyhow.

I spun this a while back. I spun some Bernat boa (tweety bird) in with some natural wool using a drop spindle. I then dyed it using this [livejournal.com profile] craftgrrl post (yay for the memories section!), but I doubled the amount of kool-aid called for and the colors came out much brighter than last time.

I want to thank the world for their tutorials. Yay!
