I just wanted to share a really cute idea with everyone. Around Christmas, the stable I used to ride at had a party for the owners of the boarded horses and the riders of the school horses to make stockings. Yes, for the horses. Then, they would be hung up on a wall facing the door of the barn. This caused the person walking in to automatically see 30 or so intricately decorated stockings.
On Christmas Eve (or morning, if the items were perishable), everyone who made the stockings would put little presents in the stockings: Carrots, apple slices, store bought treats, peppermints, ect. The next morning, the horses would get thier gifts one by one.

This is a bit off-topic (read: very off-topic!) so I'll finish with this: Does anyone have any idea how to make a hippocampus plushie?
