Dec. 6th, 2004 10:24 pmhas anyone ever stenciled on fleece using acrylics or fabric paint? has it comes out any good?
i'm asking as i'd like to put a quote on fleece fabric (like the post below mine, a no-sew fleece blanket), but iron-on embroidered letters are expensive, plus i'm not sure on how well the fleece would do being ironed.
so i'm curious if anyone's tried stenciling on fleece with paint and if it came out okay or if it ruined it or if the paint was too stiff. i'd like the quote to be pretty small on the underside of the blanket, just sort of as a little note to my boyfriend.
i've done stenciling on cotton with acrylic paint for t-shirts and that worked out fine... or if you have any suggestions not really involving sewing that'd be great. i have no clue as to how to embroider or stitch letters in.
oh, and to make up for this non-picture post, i will post my latest crafts that i created this weekend, blanket included. they came out neat! :)
thanks in advance.
