I just had the brilliant idea to make a camera bag/cover for my best friend's Nikon 35mm manual camera since she doesn't have a strap or a lense cap. I was wondering, would batting be enough (maybe two layers betewen the lining and the outside) for protection? It's basiaclly going to be a square bag with the back panel doubling as a flap that wraps around the top, middle, and half of the underside. I'm also going to stencil The Beatles Help! cover on it, since that's her favourite band. I'm so excited to be making this!

p.s. I somehow managed to finish about 10 kitty hats in eight hours spread over the course of two days!
