making a book
Dec. 8th, 2004 06:33 pmhi all.. this is a boring text only post, sorry! i just finished the cutest hat for my little girl and wish i had some way i could get a digital picture of it to post. (maybe soon if my mother in law takes a picture of her in it and emails it to me.)
so.. i am here in hopes of getting some opinions from some of you uber talented craft grrls (and boys)! i made a really beautiful book for my secret santa gift, but am sort of stumped as to what to put on the cover. it's covered with really pretty purple/blue paper that has a scrolly gold design on it, and the inside covers are done in the same paper in green/gold... but it needs something with oomph for the cover. (i recently made a similar book in pink/red/gold and i emptied a slide, and made a little collage and put it inside of the slide frame and then glued it on the cover, and that looked cool, but i want to do something different for this gift book and am stumped!)
i don't really know the person it's for very well.. she's only working for us during the holidays, but she's really funny, likes to go out dancing and do karaoke, loves to cook, and likes to write (thus the reason for the book!).
any ideas to help me over the hump would be way radical :)
xx's and oo's
