i'm making a snowflake fabric/painted cut out (applique?) thing (to put on the side of the bottom leg of a pair of light blue pants).

**

1. i printed out a snowflake stencil that i found on a free xmas stencil site (about.com?), the size is about 3 or 4 inches by the same.
2. i cut it out with space around the black lines of the stencil (try a circle shape).
3. i cut out a piece of white fabric, a tiny bit bigger than that.
4. i used elmer glue to paste the snowflake onto the piece of white fabric. i then turned the thing over, and painted white fabric paint on the other side, all over. after i got a good amount on it, i painted a little bit of glitter fabric paint over the white.
5. let dry over night.
6. next day, the paint is dry, and the whole thing is pliable. i turned it back over, and cut along the black lines of the snowflake stencil. once i cut it out, we have a nice glittery snowflake (on the other side).

i was going to apply it somehow to the very bottom of a pair of light blue pants, on the leg, on the side.
i just dont know how i'm going to do this yet. i have that bonding fabric, but i've never used it, and i'm not sure how. could i cut out another copy of the snowflake with that bonding fabric, and match it up with MY snowflake, and bond it on? how would i do that? any ideas, or other ideas?
