craftgrrl | Crafting with extremely limited space? (Reply)

This is going to sound bizarre... but looking at all of these posts of peoples crafts where they have say... a living room or dining room in the background, is driving me insane. I live in a tiny apartment, it has no living room, dining room, or any sort of common area. The only two rooms that are mine are my bathroom and bedroom. I have the hardest time finding the space to cut or lay things out, and it's slowly beginning to drive me insane. Do any of you have any advice on how to work on large projects when you have extremely limited space? I need to begin working on a 6'x4' quilt within the next few weeks, and I have no idea how I'm going to be able to lay anything out!

Also, how much would you pay for a hat like

? It's done mainly with slip stitches, so it took quite a while. And no, I'm not trying to sell it, I just have no idea how much to ask for something like that.
