Help with candle holders.
Nov. 30th, 2002 03:04 pmI found these really beautiful Moroccan beaded napkin rings at Pier One on sale yesterday. I thought I'd put glass votive holders in them and make them into candle holders. However, they're too narrow to hold the glass, but just the perfect size to put a candle in flat-out.
So.
How would I got about turning this into a holder? What could I put on the inside that's thin and would protect the beads from the wax? And what could I put on the bottom? Could I "sew" a piece of sheet metal on the bottom (with wire)? My other idea was to turn it into a candleabra of sorts, but again, I'm clueless as to how. Any and all suggestions would be most appreciated.
