Sewing vinyl???

craftgrrlOkay. I have my eye on some pretty sparkly vinyl at a fabric store here in town. I think I've finally decided what to make with it.
My question is this:
What kind of precautions/special things do I have to do to sew with vinyl? Do I need a special needle for my machine?
I know there's vinyl-craftin' grrls here that can help me!
