Yes yes, you heard me. A messenger bag out of a freakin pair of OVERALLS. Anyway, my friend asked me to make her a messenger bag--she paid me, of course. That was probably a few months ago or something--I've been pretty busy (kind of), and haven't finished it until now. How sad. lol...so...piece of advice...if you want something for me, you better ask for it early because I take a while haha. Not really. But at times. ;) ANYWAY...I agreed, and she said she'd provide the fabric for me. She drew what she wanted. The design was a little difficult..there were stuff I've never done before, but I told her I'd try. Anyway, she ended up giving me an old pair of her black corduroy overalls and some really pretty dark red velvety rose print fabric for the lining. It was tough making it out of the overalls, but I think I did a pretty good job. ^^ I used a lot of the parts from the overalls, so you can tell that it did come from a pair, and I think it's so neat. ^^ I truly wanted to keep it. *sigh* This purse was hell to make. I thought purses would be easy, but they're really the hardest and longest to make for me. Haha, and that sounded so perverted. ^^ As I was finishing it last night, the thread broke on me SO many times, it wasn't even funny. I also broke 2 needles. *sniff* lol

The purse. ^^ The straps I made from the straps of the overalls. Only one of the straps had the metal clippy part thingers still on there--the other one had ripped off. I also used a strip of buttons I took off of the side of the overalls and put it on the side of the bag for the strap to clip on. ^^

The flap was made from the front top part of the overalls. She'd wanted pockets on the purse, so I just used the ones the overalls already had. ^^ You can also see the d-rings and straps I attached for the closure.

The button stuff I was talking about. And this is also the true color of the red fabric.

She told me she wanted me to cut out one of the roses from the red velvety fabric and put it on the front as some kind of patch, so there's that.

This is the inside. =) It really isn't pink--it's a dark red. The flash did that. _-_
Ah, I wish I could keep it...I really need a new purse haha. The one I use, I didn't even make myself, and it has a hole in it haha. She better like it. XD I'm done...I sure talk a lot in my posts. Whoo. Haha. What do you guys think?
