I made this for my neighbor. Shes got 4 boys and she really wanted some of my jewelry for Christmas so I made this for her. Now it's not what I'd normally make as its not really my style, but she'll love it.

I got some patina discs from FMG a few weeks ago, they were back ordered and by the time they finally sent them to me I forgot what I was going to use them for. But now they serve a purpose!

I printed out pictures of the kids onto photopaper. You could easily use photos printed from the store, I have a really good printer so I do all my photoprinting at home. This is a great use for all those pictures with too much going on in the background or some of the picture is in focus and some isn't. You know, you're crafty.

I resized the pictures in PhotoShop until they were an appropriate size. Once I printed them I traced around the metal disc to get my cutting line.

You want to cut OFF the line you mark so the photo is slightly smaller than the metal disc because when you cover the photo a few steps from now you want it completely sealed in with the ...

Liquid glass. Never heard of it? another fine product from www.firemountaingems.com It's pretty pricey though, 16$ for that small bottle but it goes a long way.

put a dot (yes just a dot) of the liquid glass on the metal disc and spread it out (I used my finger, you know i'm hardcore) then center the photo on the disc. You can see i'm working on waxed paper and over a thin wire. The pieces sometimes pool over and stick so i like to keep part of them away from the surface i'm working on

You then use the liquid glass to cover the top of the image. See the pooling? Sometimes they pool so much that your whole stay neat and on the wire thing is screwed and you have to move them around to keep them from drying all lopsided

The glass forms a thick covering over the picture making a little photo bloby thing :)

I reopened the holes after they were dry (wait at least 24 hours for the glass to harden) and ran some jump rings through then combined them with some SS spacer beads and cirtine colored glass and volia, photo memory bracelet. :)

Cute, right?
