I found a great, easy to knit pattern for two colored stocking caps.  I got started making these things, and have since made 10 in two weeks.  Nice little last minute stocking stuffers.  If anyone wants the pattern, let me know.  Unfortunately, I was not clever enough to take pictures of someone IN the hat, but they do look very cute and are very warm (although, lying on the ground like that, they look like the ghosts from Pacman).  I also made my first sewn purse!

The hats use Lions Brand Wool Thick and Quick and it's gotten so I can do the pattern in about 3 hours.  It's really simple, just alternating knit purl.

It's a simple purse, with two pockets inside (one for my cell phone, one for make up and such) and is held closed with some circular magnets I picked up at a hobby store and sewed into the lining.  It's pretty much a conglomerate of scrap pieces I've had around the house, but it works well and the fabric is very cute.  I got the fabric at Virginia Quilter at http://www.virginiaquilter.com and they have some wonderful vintage reprint fabric.

EDIT: I have posted the pattern in a separate entry. Look for the picture of all six hats like I have on this one a few posts up. Thanks!
