...but telling my friend I made him a 'Zen black metal garden' doesn't have the same ring, don't you agree?

Nothing too special...it's a AOL tin, sanded to bare metal.  I mixed black 'decorator sand' (it's really fine, I got it at the dollar store) with red and gunmetal glitter.  The little glamrock demon guy is outlined in dark red nail polish, and sprinkled with red glitter; the pile of skulls are beads stuck onto a flatbacked marble with a big bloop of E6000.  I sprinkled sand over any visible glue; it looks really cool!  The tree is plastic and was originally a piece of 'coral' from a dollar store 'underwater playset'.  I snipped it to look...um...evil...and painted it with gunmetal nail polish.  The rake was pricey--$3!  but considering that everything else was free, I just gritted my teeth and shelled out the dough. 

My friend is going to LOVE it!
