guitar strap

my main crafty gift project was to make a guitar strap for my boyfriend. i wanted to do something a bit unusual, so i came up with this:



the strap is reversible, but i think my boyfriend is partial to the black vinyl side with the red border...

basically, i knitted the strap in stockinette using red and black acrylic yarn, then i cut a strip of vinyl and sewed it on, and then cut two more pieces of vinyl, folded them in half and sewed them shut, and then sewed them to the strap. i'm leaving it up to my boyfriend to poke holes in the right places so he can actually attach it to his guitar. i gave it to him yesterday and he told me that it will definitely inspire him to play more :)
