Mom's Birthday Present
Dec. 28th, 2004 11:32 pmI made this box for my mom's birthday, which happens to fall on the day after Christmas. Box + paint + die-cast cutouts are all from Michael's. It was wildly successful, partially due to the fact that Mom loves Paris, and partially due to the fact that I filled the box with candy. :) Mom loved it so much that she wants an American-themed one for Mother's Day.

I put cutouts on all the sides, but that's the side that came out the best. :) This was easy and fun to make.
Side note: I really wanted to decorate it with vintage travel postcards, but some guy apparently went into my favorite thrift shop and bought up the entire box of 'em. That's over $300 in postcards! Craziness.
