You ladies will be the death of me! I went to the closest thrift store to get some old pans for making candles and lip balm (all your fault I SWEAR!!!) and here I am seeing the potential in everything! Sheesh! I had to have a LOT more self-control than usual.

Tonight I've made my first candles and lip balm. the candles were easy but not nearly as fun as soap making has been... though the lip balm proved to be a pleasant challenge!
Any suggestion s as to how the hell I make them (lip balm) different colors? I used a recipe that suggested beet juice and I used (ok nobody laugh TOO much)juice from a can of beets since that's all I could find.. that did NOT werk... I used peppermint oil as scent and flavor and that rocks! I jsut wish they weren't beeswax colored... %(

I would have posted pics but I didn't make anything worth photographing...ie not that different from any other lip balm etc. If anybody's got any suggestions about the lip color that are all natural that would rock!

Thanks for the inspiration even if it IS killing me!
