kitty buttons/pins/magnets
Jan. 3rd, 2005 07:21 amHere are the first buttons and magnets I made with my new one inch buttonmaker. They are portraits I drew of my sisters’ cats. I gave them to my sisters for Christmas stocking stuffers. I posted these on craftster, too.
I drew these with the cats’ personalities in mind, as they each have their own distinct characters. Cat #1 is Gris, pronounced grees, a big bully who really is a big softie. Cat #2 is Peekaboo, a neurotic kitty who is easily frazzled and is obsessed with a shoelace. Cat #3 is Sharky, a.k.a. “Bowtie” and “Mr. Bojangles,” who just seems well suited for a French accent. Cat #4 is Tink, the most feminine one, who is prone to laze around in dramatic poses of depression as if she’s just ready to end it all. Cat #5 is Sky, a happy-go-lucky guy who isn’t the brightest of the bunch but has a model’s looks.
So I've been having fun with the button maker, mostly making buttons just for myself and friends. I'll be making more for sale soon that will feature reproductions (and maybe even one of a kind originals) of my own artwork, including my drawings, collages, etc. I have never sold my artwork (or tried to) before, so I hope others will like it. I'll post some examples of my collage pins soon.
