Jan. 5th, 2005 08:37 pmhi! just joined - been watching for a while, though. i love looking at all the stuff everyone's made. i've been knitting for a while (and i'm still absolutely hooked - i do it everywhere, in the car, while watching tv, in class), and for the holidays this year i got a sewing machine. i'm so excited. i haven't done much, just fit a few shirts better so far, but i'm hoping to get some better ideas from here. i'm really interested in learning how to stencil, too. that seems so awesome.
and here's lots of pictures of all my stuff. mostly knitted.

my most recent creation, the double-sided-cable-scarf-made-from-random-yarns-i-found-that-don't-match-at-all-but-are-gorgeous-anyway:

i knit conor oberst. from bright eyes. i wanted to practice instarsia. i'm going to make a bag when i'm done the other side:

kitty hat!

this was my first attempt at fair isle:

two boring, refitted shirts (that i now am in love with:

what i'm working on now:
eventually, this:

will turn into this:

and this:

will look like this:

maybe. hopefully. eventually. it takes so long for me to finish sweaters, i get distracted with new, more exciting projects...
hope you liked them!
ps - if you have any questions or want any specifics on yarn, patterns, etc - free to ask anything!
