Jan. 16th, 2005 08:19 pmso my dorm did trading spaces with the bathrooms this weekend. for those unfamiliar with my dorm, there are 2 bathrooms on each floor, one for each section. this project consumed my entire weekend... good thing i have no life ^_^

stall doors that i painted... the japanese characters say serenity, wisdom, and happiness.

closeup of stall door... sorry it's sideways.

cabinet doors... the bamboo pattern is cut out of leftover vinyl shower curtain that is stapled to the doors

message board covered in leftover curtain fabric and more bamboo shower curtain. tilt your head to the left.

one of the quotes maelipi wrote on the wall in paint pen.

white and blue chiffon curtains i made.

another quote.

curtain that divides the stall area and the shower area... it's the same blue chiffon as the curtains backed with light teal cotton fabric. i sewed the blue glass beads on in a diamond pattern.

another one of maelipi's awesome ideas... magnetic poetry on the back of the bathroom stall doors. probably not very sanitary, but fun nonetheless. made by covering flat magnets that they give away at sporting events on campus with white paper then gluing magazine cutouts to them and cutting them up. yay for fun times.

bamboo print shower curtains from target.

shelf for shower caddies.

yay for plants.

another view of the stall doors and cabinets.
okay, so that was the one that i decorated with my section. here's some pictures from the bathroom that the other section decorated for us (a.k.a. the blind eight year old girl's room)

sink area... yes, that's snow white. it's disney princess themed. yay.

stenciling around the mirrors and cinderella.

tilt your head to the right. disney princess curtains. oh my.

more stenciling and those are disney movie quotes written around the walls.

stenciling on the stall door.

more stall door stenciling.

stall doors.

shower caddy shelf.

stenciling and quotes in the shower area.

tilit your head to the right. i'm not sure what these shower curtains are supposed to coordinate with...
basically... i'm really disappointed with how our bathroom turned out.
here are some pictures from some of the other bathrooms in the dorm...
