I took a pair of $5 thrifted jeans, some potatoes, acrylic paint, and a linoleum stamp which I made myself (my very first one, too!) and turned it all into this; http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/14216959/

If you’ve never tried potato stamps, you really should. They’re fast, easy, and best of all CHEAP, so if you screw up, who cares? http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Valley/8063/potato_stamping.htm is a great tutorial, although I use my linoleum carving tools instead of just a knife because you can make much more intricate designs that way.
