Crafty top
Jan. 18th, 2005 06:49 pmI saw this this crafty tee in a store not so long ago, but it's just printed on and I figured that I could both one-up them and justify my right to wear this top.

Here 'tis:

I cross-stitched it on using something called waste canvas, which is basically aida with a really low thread count, which you stitch straight on to your fabric, then dampen and pull out with tweezers. It's easy enough to use, but unfortunately, when using a stretchy fabric as I was, it can also be kinda decieving: what looks like perfect stitching on the canvas turns out a bit screwed up underneath, as seen here:

At least you only notice when up close.
Anyway, advice: I'm trying to work out whether the top needs anything more. I was thinking of putting this motif:

at the corners where the straps join at the front, but now I'm not so sure. Thoughts?
