this is my first post, i've been lurking forever. i made this a bit ago, and am working on a skirt in the same style. it's grosgrain ribbon sewed together to create the material of the purse.

it takes forever, sewing each stripe, but it creates a really subtle effect.

the inside is lined with a navy satin lining, and there is a tiny pocket made of navy ribbon sewed together and lined. the inside is supported with a stiff interfacing, and to keep the shape, there is cardboard on the bottom. it's a really small tote. can't fit much in it. i'll post the skirt when i'm done, it's taken hours, now i have to line it, and finish it off.
