another placemat!

craftgrrlyesterday i combined this idea with my love of unloved placemats, and made this:
(i have big man hands!)
this one really went fast once i convinced my machine to chew through the thick egdes of the mat. all i did was fold short-ways (not like a hot dog), sew the sides together, and box the bottom corners. for the handles, just find an easily trace-able shape, trace, cut out, then sew around the edge. i think i may throw on some bias tape to make the handles look more finished. what do you think?
