adventures at Wal-Mart
Dec. 5th, 2002 04:56 pmI went to Wal-Mart today to pick up some polyester pillow stuffing...stuff and ended up with a bit more than I had expected ;) This ALWAYS seems to happen to me..hmm. Anyway, I got some camouflage fabric so I can make something for my cousin (who is obsessed with everything related to the army), some blue ribbon (which I desperately needed), and some really cute fabric remnants that I was able to convince myself that I desperately needed ;)
I also saw really interesting-looking yarn. It was made by Lion Brand and it was called Homespun, I think....it's just regular acrylic yarn BUT it's crimped all over and it looks really weird and interesting. Anyone used this stuff before? I was tempted to buy it and then I remembered that I don't even know how to knit yet! Oh well. Soon.
Oh yeah, and when I was looking at the pillow stuffing...there were two brands, seemingly identical, but with a $1 price difference. The saleslady said she had no idea why one was more expensive than the other so I went with the cheap one...but has anyone made pillows before and noticed a *difference* between two different brands of stuffing? They looked exactly alike o_O
Alright, that's all. Just thought I'd share.
