Hey, I haven't actually introduced myself or anything, but I've been posting comments here and there.

First off, I so love all the nifty ideas that come through here!  I especially love the tutorials (I'm partial to purses even though I'm not a huge fan of carrying them myself).

As for myself, I'm sorta a jack of all trades, though I don't really excel in anything in particular.

 

My grandmother taught me origami when I was 6 (she's Japanese and brought me back paper from a trip to Japan while visiting relatives), and taught me how to crochet when I was 9.  I also recently learned to knit, taught myself chainmail (jewelry), and taught myself Chinese brush painting (this I actually suck at).  My grandmother also taught me China painting and Temari in December of 03 (temari is a kind of Japanese embroidered ball).  I also make flower pens, use Sculpey (even making clay pens) and make graphics like icons and stuff (that you can find at my journal if you're interested).  Don't have alot of pics, and the pics I have aren't that good cuz it's a camera phone, but it's a random sampling of stuff.

The chainmail is hand made.  I wound the loops myself and cut them, and I even made the clasp.  The charm is a rosebud (you can see it better int he closeup) and that's hematite stones hanging from it.  But methinks I'm ordering loops from now on, cuz it's easier and kewl colors too!  ::huge grins::
