i made a dress!
Jan. 28th, 2005 10:24 pma floor-length gown, specifically. using 2 yards of leftover orange tiger print jersey fabric that was found in the $2 bin and was supposedly geared toward toddlers. no pattern, just 3 hours and lots of trying on.
(please ignore my crazy face. it's not usually that crazy.)

the zipper isn't crooked, i promise. it's just from the way i was standing.
all in all, i'm excruciatingly proud.
wow, did i just say "excruciatingly proud"?
anyway, it was surprisingly easy. it only has 3 seams and some darts. i added the turquoise bias tape on the back edge around the zipper as well, which gives it a much more tailored look, me thinks. i was just too lazy to take more pictures. but i love this dress, it was fairly simple and it gives me an amazing silhouette (although you can't really tell from the pictures).
i was just super proud so i wanted to show it off. especially since i'll probably never have an occasion to wear it. so thank you for indulging me!
