i got a sewing machine!!!! my mom just brought it over. it's a brother from walmart. (see my personal journal for pics and deets) she took back a kenmore to sears, i think, and got this one instead, i guess the saleslady swears by them. she's never had a problem with hers and she's had it forever. i would have rather had one from joann with the lessons and stuff, but i think i'll be ok learning on my own, or possibly from a book with good pictures. i'm crafty enough.

we started a project today, but....

i have really crappy scissors. they're just dull.

so she's gonna come over tomorrow and we're gonna make a big orange/pink tote bag. it's gonna be fun!! i'll be sure to post pictures of whatever we come out with.


and since i gotta start out easy, i also plan on making hospital scrubs outta the starchy cotton for work.
