I got to wear my knitting to work again!!

I am made the TLC 'sassy stripes' sweater out of 'TLC amore' yarn in hot pink and black. The colors in the pattern were not me at all, but luckily the stripe pattern is easy to adjust, and the hot pink and black together are indeed sassy. I think the sleeves came out a little weird, but honestly I am super happy with how this came out. I realize though, that I should pick up that much name checked book on 'finishing' sweaters so that I am sure I am doing the end part right.
all of this is also posted in my knitting blog.

Mendel guards the sleeves, or warms them with his butt. He can't decide.

The sweater pre-assembled. After I sewed in one sleeve, I had to pick up some stitches for the collar. I sort of cheated, and after I sorted the collar all out, I assembled the rest of the sweater. This way once the collar was done, I was done. Also, this kept flapping bits of fabric to a minimum.

Just a close-up of the back and front laying on top of each other.

I'm going to take a tiny break from sweaters until I reduce my stash (I'm making some hats, ear warmers, and a cabled belt at very least) and increase my yarn $$. But I am finding that making sweaters is totally addictive.
