shrinkydink / sequin CRAZINESS
Feb. 8th, 2005 12:37 amIt only took a year, but I finally finished my Hello Kitty (well, Sanrio) ShrinkyDink charm bracelet.

By the way, I totally stole this idea off of someone on here that made a Care Bears ShrinkyDink bracelet probably a year ago.
Anyway, I made the matching ShrinkyDinks last February. I copied the characters' pictures from their bios on the Sanrio website... Then I opened the pictures in paint and added different color circles around them. I printed them onto ShrinkyDink plastic and cut them out... Punched holes... Then baked them. I added jump rings but they've just been sitting around because I could never find a charm bracelet that I liked.

I bought head pins and some small jump rings today and added my new favorite beads. It took an hour and my back is killing me, but I'm happy with the end result.

Sorry for all the angles, I'm very proud of this.
Also, I made heart sequin earrings. I've seen sequin earrings everywhere lately and I love them, but I can't buy them because I know that I could easily make the same thing. So here is my first pair.

Sorry that they're blurry. I can't tell which one is clearer so I'll post both. It's hard to take a picture of my own ears.
That's all for tonight. I'm sure I'll be up to something else when my creativity strikes again. Or I steal someone else's creativity, I guess. Whatever.
