Papier Mache tips?
Feb. 9th, 2005 09:33 pmMy fiance went and got me a subscription to the paper since he knows I like to read it, and now I'm drowning in old newspapers. We still haven't gotten a bluebox for recycling [will get it soon], and I'm a huge packrat/recycling junkie and hate throwing things out.
I'm getting in to paper making, and while I don't believe I can make good paper out of old newspapers, I was thinking about papier mache. [Of course, if you CAN make good paper out of old newspapers, I'd love to hear how and get some tips!] Not the strip kind, but rather the kind that's more like a paper-goo-clay that you use to sculpt on things. Anyone have any experience with this?
