i posted a while back about surf wax candles and i finally got around to making them...





materials: 8 bars of sticky bumps surf wax, 2 glass bowl/jar things, candle wick, stickers, double broiler


first i melted the wax down. two bars of the eight i bought at first. silly me i forgot that sex wax isnt made to be melted down easily so it took forever for it to melt down and even when it finally did, it wasnt like regular wax. it was like melted ice cream kinda.

thats me being sad because i realized 8 bars wasnt enough and that i was going to have to melt down my last two bars that i was saving for tomorrow morning's surf sesh.


and the final product! im giving them to my two surf buddies as presents for valentines day. they still smell good too, which im way stoked about. im just bummed that i didnt buy enough of the materials to make myself one, cuz i know that ill never get around to making another one just for me. haha. oh well, i gotta say this was probably the messiest, most annoying, time consuming project, not to mention way RAD project ive ever done. haha. what do you think?
