craftgrrl | Skirt, dress, and lamp!

I actually made this skirt like a year ago, but I never wore it because I made it too big. So today I just went back and adjusted it. This was really the first complete garment I ever sewed on my own, so I feel proud haha.

My mom made this dress from a pattern when she was about my age (16). She gave it to me a few years ago, but I never liked the sleeves so today I finally took them off.

Finally, this is a lamp my mom and I put together a couple years ago... I just now thought of sharing pictures. It sits in my room now. We filled the base with shells we found over time on the beach. Then I just randomly decorated the lamp shade with various things. I like the shell part the best though...
