my boy and i have recently been inspired to re-decorate our living room. were painting a black and white checkerboard pattern on one wall. and the predominate theme colours are black and silver with bits of dark red tossed in here and there. however. our couch is ugly. its a lovely shape. but its ugly. very ugly. and i am desperately wanting to slipcover it black. however i cant find a black slipcover anywhere. and if i could its very UnAffordable.

so i beseech you lovely craftgrrrls: ive never made a slip cover in my life. i am not a very good seamstress. is there a very easy way to make a very nice looking black slipcover? i remember seeing something on the tv about making them out of bedsheets. but that was ages ago.
