adhesives

i was planning on making stationery and bookplates to give out to people as gifts, and then possibly sell later on...but i don't know what kind of adhesive is on envelopes and bookplates...the kind that dries and then can be re-wetted to put into place.
if anyone knows anything about this, the appreciation would be huge.
