Recycling Jeans
Feb. 21st, 2005 08:36 amHello Everyone! I'm new here. I just joined. I've been on LJ for a year and I can't believe I didn't stumble onto this community earlier! I love doing crafty things. :) A little about me: I love macrame and beading. I love to collect fun.interesting beads, even if I can't always find a craft project for them. I do some crochet, an occasional bit of sewing, some floral stuff (My mother and I did all the floral arrangements for my wedding, except the bouquet). I like to try and reuse things for craft purposes before throwing them away.
So, now the real post:
I have some old jeans that I'd like to recycle. I recently cleaned out my closet, and I donated a lot of clothing, but I reserved a few things that I thought had cool patterns and colors that I thought I might like to try something craft with. Any ideas? I have a sewing machine that I inherited and some minimal experience sewing simple things, and lots of other fun craft things like silk flowers, ribbons, etc., so I'm very open to suggestions if anybody has any ideas for how to put some old clothing to good use. I also saved a few t-shirts that had some fun logos and pictures on them that I thought I could use fabric swatches from too.
Thanks!
