Feb. 21st, 2005 02:28 pmI have some new and old sculptures/crafts I want to post.
So here they are, from the oldest to the most recent.

I made him in my sculpture class during my senior year of high school. The assignment was to make a sculpture out of wire (go figure).

This was going to be for the same class, but I ended up using it for my independent study for a different art class. If anyone is familiar with Dali, this box sculpture should look remotely like several of his paintings.

This was the first bag I've ever sewn since middle school. I didn't use any pattern, I just figured it out as I went along. It's reversible. The inside is sort of quilted. The vagina is sewn upside-down. lol. But if you're looking down at it, it looks right-side-up. So, of course, I meant to do that. :c)

I made this entirely out of Sculpey clay. I didn't use any molds or anything of the sort. I painted it with acrylics and added a decoupage finish for lack of anything better (I did buy a spray sealer of sorts, two of them in fact, but it leaves the clay sticky). I have yet to add the clock parts to it.

I had a black canvas bag I bought at Hot Topic long ago. I eventually stopped using it because it began to fade quite a bit. I needed a bag, however, to tote around my colored pencils and small sketchbook, so I decided to spruce it up with acrylic paints and my fabulous pussy flowers and a moon/aum design.

One would think I was a bit obsessive over vaginas, but whate'er. I wanted a keychain and since I've been doing quite a bit of vagina art, I figured this would make a cute keychain. It's made out of Sculpey once again and painted w/ acrylics and finished with decoupage. I just baked the chain inside the ball of Sculpey, so I wouldn't have to worry about how I was going to attach it to a keychain.

No, I'm not a huge fan of pirates. I had a tiny altoid tin and wanted to make a pocket shrine. I covered the lid with Sculpey and baked it. I asked Shaggs what to put on it and he responded, "A pirate." I then quickly constructed that little guy with Sculpey, baked it, painted it and decoupaged it. I printed out a couple squares of red and white polka-dotted papers and decoupaged them on the bottom and sides of the tin. He wanted the inside to have a picture of me and I decided to put "You Arr the Perfect Drug" inside ("Arr" being the common phrase used by pirates and NIN being one of his favourite groups).
