hey everyone. My name is Karen and I have been lurking around these parts for awhile now and I just recently got unlazy enough to post some stuff on here.

So a few months ago I was in Wal-Mart and saw the best fabric and I knew I had to buy it even thought I didnt really know what I wanted to do with it. A few weeks ago, after some mishaps with gravity and keys, I made a cozy out of it for my Dell Dj but that was about it. Well, last night I had a couple of hours before I had to go to a meeting for work so I decided to bust it out and make a tote bag. ( I have a tote bag obsession but hate the store bought ones because they never fit over my hoodies or my jacket...so I have started to make my own).

Here are pictures of my very first tote bag, my *NEW* one, my DJ cozy, and a ring I made the other night (please ignore my funny face in this shot!)

I got the fabric at Joanne's and it is nice and heavy, like canvas

some small pcokets inside, I was going to put in a zippered pocket but then I forgot.



I am thoroughly obsessed with this fabric.

and this is my delicious stone:


the guy I bought it from called it "Mexican Crazy Lace"...I dont know. The ring is a basic band ring (sterling silver). I ran out of bezel wire so I had to roll my own out of 8ga wire and it was so work hardened that annealing it didn't even soften it enough, so the stone is epoxy'd (shhhhhh) in and fake bezel set.
