Need help making oragami stars!

craftgrrl (I can't find that original post).
I tried following the illustrated directions and could NOT get it to work. I got to about step 4 and then couldn't figure out which way to hold the paper. It also doesn't say how long or wide the strip of paper should be.
I love the idea of these little stars--couldn't find another site with instructions for these particular stars. Lots of OTHER stars and oragami shapes, but not the one I'm looking for.
If anyone else has made these, I would appreciate your words of wisdom! Thanks!
