so i was discussing scarves with one of my friends (yay for discussing designers with gay guys ^_^) and
and i loved it so i decided to crochet one up on my own. because i don't have $300 to spend on a scarf like he does... so this is what i came up with..
when the one i made and the one he bought are next to each other you can barely tell that mine is handmade and cost about $6.
so anyway, i wore it out shopping the other day and some girl dressed in those ridiculous fur trimmed knee high boots worn over designer jeans, wearing a burberry coat, carrying a louis vuitton handbag came up to me and gasped, saying she loved my scarf and asked me where i had bought it because she was having trouble finding dior homme stuff. i nearly died of awesomeness... that just about made my life. she was really surprised when i told her that i had made it myself... and suddenly i was not cool enough for her to talk to me anymore. ^_^
aaaaaaand... here are some other things i've made recentlyish...
a couple more scarves..
a long back drawstring ruffled skirt made out of monopoly board print fabric...
sushi print skirt made with the same pattern...
and a closeup because i love this fabric.
and here's what i'm working on now...

someday it will be a twin bed size basketweave afghan made out of baroque colored homespun yarn. it's going to take forever and cost me a lot in yarn though, because i wanted it to be really thick and warm so i'm using an Ihook... 3 skeins of yarn and i have about 1 foot of afghan O_o
