Dyeing and other projects!
Mar. 1st, 2005 05:26 pmI decided to post my results from the Kool Aid hair dying I did on Sunday... I just did a few highlights with cherry Kool Aid, without bleaching it first... so it really looks as though I used regular hair dye, but it's a very cheap alternative! Also, does anyone know how long I can expect it to last?

Other projects...
A little buggy I made for my boyfriend yesterday :P very easy!

A purse I made out of some old corduroys that didn't fit anymore, and then attached some patches. (Blurred out the name of my soccer league for obvious reasons).

Also, random question... There is a girl at my school who has medium/dark brown, straight hair that's layered. Today she came to school with her hair dyed almost a midnight blue... but not all of her hair. It was still brown at the top and kind of faded into a dark blue at the bottom, because each segment of her hair was dyed at different lengths so that it looked flowing... I thought it was really amazing. Does anyone know how to achieve this effect, and what kind of dye would get you dark blue (as opposed to the bright blue you see in a lot of dyes)? I wouldn't do this now because my parents would not be too happy, lol, but maybe sometime in my future. Thanks! <3 Laura
