I'm new here, and I'm not -soooo- crafty, but I find it interesting to read about your crafty endeavours. Whenever I do something like this, I usually spend a lot of time on it or else I'll mess up. Here's what I've done: make a skirt out of pants. And now I am braiding a rug which was basically something learned from my grandma and great-aunt.
On that same note, I KNOW my grandma really really really wanted to teach me how to knit, but I was "way too cool" for that, so she never got the chance. And I want to learn now, really badly. However, I have no idea where to start, and if anyone could give me some reasources as to what kinds of materials to first buy or websites which will teach someone who knows no lingo or anything about knitting how to knit. Thanks a lot!
