Help please!

I bought this RED VELVET 1950's-esque suit from ye olde thrift store today.  (I say 1950's-esque because the skirt hits at about mid-calf.  The whole thing looks like the Amish do Moulin Rouge.)

I bought the outfit because I really like the blazer.  In the crafty spirit, I'd really like to do something with the skirt. ... But, for whatever reason, my creativity is just bone-dry today. 

I looked through a hoard of websites, even websites that I don't like, trying to think of something to do with this skirt.

Do any of you fashionitas have any ideas? Because UGH.  HEAD IS ABOUT TO FALL OFF.

EDIT: The skirt looks like THIS, only red.
