I have a typical cork board that's perfectly fine all but the fact that it's that not-so-pretty cork board color. I want to paint the wood framing, but I'd also like to get the cork part black too. I don't think a regular acrylic paint would work without maybe adding a textile medium. I was thinking I could use the screen printing ink I have, but I don't know if that would hold up either. Maybe just a regular ink that would soak in and dye the cork?

Does anyone have any experience with this or is it hopeless that I'll end up coloring it in with a Sharpie?
