bags, knits, and more
Mar. 7th, 2005 01:26 amHi, I've been reading this community for quite some time, but just finally joined. I mainly knit and sew, although I do bits and pieces of other things and used to make a lot of jewelry. Here are some things I've been working on recently.
This bag is the first one I made this weekend.

I especially like the teeny tiny little rainbow iron-on I put in the corner and the tie closure that matches the lining.
This is the second bag I made this weekend and possibly one of my favorite things that I've ever made.

I lovelovelove the stencil of the horse that I did on the outside. Plus I just love the fabric in the first place.

I am also quite pleased with the pocket I put on the inside.
The awesome thing about these two bags is that they are made with a combination of cheap fabric that I bought and reconstructed pajama pants that I bought on clearance at Urban Outfitters last year for $1.99 per pair. There is enough fabric for two bags in each pair of pants so now I can make a bag for me and a bag for a friend!
I also love that I actually drew a galloping stallion.
This is a crocheted bag I made last weekend.

Pardon the apparent lumpiness of it. It doesn't photograph well. Well, it really just doesn't hang on two hooks well because it's wider than the two hooks and it has a really long strap.
This is an earwarmer I made a couple weeks ago using the pattern from Stitch-N-Bitch Nation.

This might be my favorite thing that I've knitted so far.
I also made this hat a long time ago using the kitty/devil hat pattern in Stitch-N-Bitch.

I made this hat last summer. It was my first hat in the round.

I had originally intended to put kitty ears on top, but once I got the pom poms added I was thoroughly satisfied and decided to stop.
This white ensemble was also one of my first projects.

I like the first photograph better.

But you can see the mittens better in the second photograph. I made the scarf and hat as my second and third knitting projects, last winter, and I made the mittens this autumn.
And last but not least, this is not just a photograph of my breasts, but is actually a photograph of a t-shirt I made awhile back with a cartoon from the Toothpaste for Dinner website.
