Wine stoppers?

Hi folks!

I was wondering... to go with a set of wine charms, I was thinking of making some wine bottle stoppers. I have plenty of ideas for what to put on top, but what I was trying to figure out is what sort/size of cork to use? Do you think the craft corks at Michael's would work? They seem so small and short...
