Mar. 19th, 2005 01:16 amI usually "screen print" (using my cheap-o way that's a tutorial in the memories here), but the other day I looked at my Exact-o knife and a stack of manila folders and said "heck, I want to make a stencil."
So I cut out this intricate picture (dummie me, I should've done something simple) and now I'm afraid it's too flimsy. I've been hanging onto this thing for a week now afraid to put ink over it on top of any material in fear of ruining the material and the stencil.
Now here's my idea:
Do you all think that thoroughly coating the card-stock weight paper in Modge Podge (and somehow suspending it to dry, whatever, so it doesn't glue down to a surface) would work to make it sturdier and perhaps even easily reusable? Is this ridiculous? Has anyone attempted something of the sort?
[edit] I just went for it and applied the ink. It turned out okay! Pictures will be posted here soon. Thanks for all of your opinions! [/edit]
